Last November 27th was celebrated the Thanksgiving Day at CUESHP

Cada grupo decoró una mesa para la cena de día de gracias  con los elementos que en tal año fueron degustados por los indios y los colonizadores, desde pan de elote, pay de manzana, pavo , puré de papa, verduras, y jugo de uva .

Each group  decorated a table for the supper of thanksgiving with the elements that in such year were tasted by the Indians and the pilgrims, they were; corn bread , apple pay, turkey, potatoes, vegetables, and grape juice.

La celebración obedeció al cierre de la primera parte de actividades del (taller de Inglés), que los alumnos cursan en la Facultad Derecho. En dicha cena, los invitados especiales fueron las autoridades del Centro Universitario. ( de izquierda a derecha)
The celebration was the closing of the first part of activities of the “Taller de Inglés”, that the students attend in the Faculty of Law. In this supper, the special guests were the authorities of the University Center, and specially the Lic. Yolanda Almaguer Esparza, President of RECAB of Mexico AC., as well as the teachers who distribute classes from first to fifth semester. (from left to right)

De esta manera, y tratando seguir con la tradición que comenzó desde el año de 1622 cuando un grupo de colonizadores en Plymouth fueron salvados de morir debido a las bajas temperaturas por los Indios Wampanoag, y de cómo éstos en agradecimiento a los indios, salieron de sus casas y al final de la primera cosecha compartieron los alimentos.
So, following with the tradition that began with the first Thanksgiving feast that was celebrated in 1621 by the pilgrims of the Plymouth colony along with about 90 Wampanoag Indians. The Pilgrims had suffered through a devastating winter in which nearly half their number died. Without the help of the Indians, all would have perished.
After the first harvest, Governor William Bradford proclaimed a day of thanksgiving and prayer to God. The food, which was eaten outdoors, included corn, geese, turkeys, ducks, eel, clams, leeks, plums, cod, bass, barley, venison and corn bread. The feast lasted 3 days. The feast clearly took place in late autumn1622.
 

Es importante mencionar que el Sr. Director del Centro Universitario, oficializó la institución de dicha celebración, como cierre de la primera parte de las actividades del “Taller” de Inglés, por lo que el próximo año esperamos contar con la presencia de una mesa representativa de  las demás escuelas que pertenecen al sistema de Educación Hermosa Provincia,
It is important to mention that The Principal f the University Center, Dr. Abel García García                     institutionalized this celebration from now, as the closes of the first part of the activities of the “Taller” of English, So, the next year we hoped that the other schools that belong to the system of Beautiful Education Province, as the Morning High school, Afternoon High school, Samänn University rejoin us to this friendly thanksgiving gathering.
